This material called Silent Comfort ™, is an environmentally friendly, highly compacted filler mixture that is completely affixed and pre-trimmed to the back of each panel during manufacturing. In addition to reducing noise, this state of the art backing further expedites installation, provides a cushioned feel underfoot and enables the flooring to better conform to irregular subfloors.
