Questions & Answers
| Question 4 : Will pet accidents ruin a laminate floor? |
Answer: Not at all. Animal urine is one of the many standard stains tested on the high-pressure laminate used to make Classic Wilsonart Flooring. To date, only elephant urine has produced harmful results; so Wilsonart does not recommend its flooring for homes with elephants. All other pet owners, however, will enjoy considerable advantages in stain resistance and odor retention with Wilsonart Flooring - especially compared to carpet or hardwood. Naturally, it's important to wipe up
accidents as promptly as possible. If accidents remain on
the laminate flooring for long periods of time, the
ammonia in urine can penetrate in between the planks or
tiles and cause seams to swell. |
