The following are some examples of substances that will remove color or
permanently stain most carpets, including carpets with stain resistance
properties: hair dyes, shoe polish, paints, bleaches, acne medication,
drain cleaners, insecticides, plant food, iodine, toilet bowl cleaners and
caustic chemicals

Bulletin UM-44D for use in projects for Federal Housing Administration
(FHA) and the Department of Housing (HUD). This approval does not suggest
endorsement of this product by any Agency of the U. S. Government.
