Cut Pile Carpet Styles

Saxony (Plush or Velvet)
Saxony carpets are a cut pile which shows strong shading
and accents. It provides a very formal and elegant look to
any room because of the highlights it shows. Some of our
customers do not like a Saxony because it shows more
footprints and impressions on the carpet surface. If you
would like to show less impressions, purchase a textured
cut pile.

Textured (Twist)
Textured carpet is also a cut pile as the Saxony, except the
pile yarns have more twist so that the yarn ends are visible
and create a less formal look and minimizes foot prints.
This style is our most popular style of carpet and is the
preferred style for busy households and is a great "whole
house" carpet. The more times the carpet is twisted the
longer the carpet will wear and the less it will crush.

Even though Shags and Frieze Carpets Styles are Cut pile Carpets,
we decided to group the Shags and Frieze Carpet Styles separately
because of their unique appearance as opposed to the Saxony
and Textured Carpet Styles.
